Explore Toronto Island on your own terms with an unguided kayak rental.

New
If you've got some paddling experience and want to find your own adventure, you can choose from 5 different types of kayaks to rent for your adventure. If it's your first time paddling, we suggest an Intro to Kayak Lesson. Kayak rentals are a great way to explore Lake Ontario and its waterways surrounding the 14+ Toronto Islands. The calm, flat waters in the lagoons of the island offer adventure around every corner, great views of the city and wildlife abound that will make you feel like you are out of the city.

We will do a brief screening and give you some tips if you need it before you head out. Keep in mind, the screening is not intended to be a lesson. Minimum requirement for participation requires the ability to swim short distances and tread water even without a lifejacket on.  If we are unsatisfied with your skill level during the screening or do not pass the safety criteria, we may turn you away without refund. The funds can be put toward a lesson. Please be on time upon returning equipment. Late fees may be added especially for end of day rentals returning after our closing time.

When booking a tandem, the price you are paying on our booking platform will appear as half of the cost of what it is displayed as below becuase you are paying per person, 2 per boat.

Touring Boat Description

The soft chine hull of the Manitoulin touring kayak allows for excellent maneuverability and stability. This is the best kayak in our fleet to get the most distance for least effort during your rental. They are equipped with foot controlled rudders for easy turning. This vessel is for the slightly more experienced kayaker.
